Cycling along the river you will get to a renaissance castle of the sixteenth century Nelahozeves. Nearby you can find a castle called Veltrusy with its large gardens. Melnik – Litomerice

Before arriving into town Roudnice nad Labem, you will cycle along a water canal by the village called Račice. It is 2 350 meters long and its clean water is suitable for bathing. Importantly, there are often held international competitions in canoeing there. In the Czech Republic this flat landscape is regarded as one of the most fertile regions, so except for large quantities of fruits and vegetables also hops grows there. An inevitable part of the brewing.

In town of Litoměřice a large exhibition called Garden of Bohemia is held every year. A few kilometres before the town of Litoměřice you cannot miss fortress Terezín. It was built in the late eighteenth century and used as a prison. During the Second World War a concentration camp was established there and unfortunately thousands of people were killed by Nazis there. It is a very sad story. The second stage ends in town of Litoměřice. In this royal city certainly your attention will draw its square with beautiful houses. So here you can pick the right restaurant, and after a tasteful dinner, will come an occasion to try out wine made in the nearby wine region.

Just outside the city begins hilly landscape called Central Bohemian Uplands with its highest hill Milešovka, but you keep cycling directly along the Elbe. At this location the river is much broader. You can see there a large number of steamboats or barges. Many of them sail to sea, to the German port of Hamburg. After approximately twenty-five kilometres of cycling, you will see to the right Střekov Castle, built on a steep rocky cliff. Taking the trouble to climb to the top rewards with spectacular views over Usti nad Labem and meandering river. Today's stage finishes in Děčín. Definitely worth visiting is a local ZOO located in a beautiful woodpark on the Pastoral rock (Pastýřská stěna, Žižkova ulice 1286/15 Děčín 4) or Paradise Islands with a large sea aquarium in downtown (Teplická ulice 19) are also worth mentioning. Do not miss Děčín castle. And later have an excellent dinner at the Castle restaurant.

It’s time to leave the Czech Republic on the last day of your BT. The first town on the German side is Bad Schandau. These 700 years old spas are a popular destination for tourists. They became famous in the 19th century thanks to doctor Kneipp spa treatments. Although only 3000 inhabitants live there, they have own streetcar line and its route leads to the Lichtenhainer waterfall situated about 3 km away from city centre. If you want to satisfy your sweet tooth, we recommend confectioner "Schurtz" with its wide choice of excellent cakes and delicious ice creams known far and wide.
